Our Pledge 1% Commitment
In 2025, we joined Pledge 1%, committing one percent of our profits and one percent of our staff time to causes that make the world better. This formalises the way we’ve always tried to work — balancing global responsibility with meaningful local impact.

Pledge 1% is a global movement that inspires, educates, and empowers every entrepreneur, company, and employee to be a force for good. Over 18,000 members in 100+ countries have used Pledge 1%’s flexible framework.
Globally, our financial contribution supports environmental regeneration and climate action.
Locally, our time is invested in arts, culture, regeneration projects, and work that supports young people in our region.
Keeping Our Own Footprint Low
We continue to minimise our environmental impact as a business. Each year, our carbon footprint remains well under 1000 kg of CO₂ equivalent — significantly lower than the average for businesses in our sector. We achieve this by:
Working from low-energy premises
Using a 100% renewable electricity tariff
Keeping travel emissions low, with all business travel by train or electric car
Reducing resource use through responsible procurement and digital-first practices
Our Long-standing Reforestation Partnership
A key part of our global responsibility is our long-term partnership with One Tree Planted, we contribute significantly to mangrove restoration projects — a powerful nature-based solution for both carbon capture and biodiversity protection. This supports the planting of approximately 500 mangrove trees per year, which are estimated to sequester almost 5000 kg of CO₂ annually — five times our annual emissions.
This work now sits within our broader Pledge 1% commitment, providing the global strand of our glocal approach.
